Deep fat fryer

Am thinking of throwing my one out ,and cooking my chips in the oven .
what i want to know is , although my chips would be healthier , would this cost me more on my electric bill ?

10minutes in a deep fat fryer / 30 minutes in the oven ?
P.S I only use my fryer for chips , and use it about once a week .

We are talking pennies here and if fan oven only looking at 20 mins for oven chips fatter chips are better for you than skinny ones.

Thanks Donna , will go for the healthy option , and ditch my fryer !
