Any nail-gun that I have ever used will not discharge unless it is pressed very firmly against a solid surface; in other words, you can't just 'point and shoot'. Are you sure that they are actually shooting nails, or just playing really stupid games with the tool unloaded? I would still report them though.

why dont you ring 911 and say

there's someone shooting at you with a gun

(and then give their location and not yours)

and then in about a month they will come around and shoot them all

and you can say oops I meant nail gun !

and thye'll say that 's OK ma'am, anyone can make a mistake ! and if you're like us, we frequently do !!

it could be that the gas is set too high for the size of nails and piece of timber and if it is a headless nail it may be going straight thru the wood, are they first fixing or roofing?
