Pinking Shears

Is it possible to sharpen them ? Any tips?

I had a pair of pinking shears sharpened many years ago but it wasn't really successful. I had to replace them a few months later. they are expensive to buy good ones so maybe would be worthing trying the sharpening first? hope this helps
