digital vs 35mm

trying to compare digital photos to 35mm, what is the comparative megapixal for 35mm cameras, trying to work out if it is worth buying myself a new 7.2megapixal camera or should i just stick to 5.2

Unless you're using high resolution images (width 1024+) 5.2 shouldn't fare much differently to 7.2. If you are using 2000+ you'd probably notice.
My 6 meg photos are 2832 X 2128 and I doubt if you'd see much difference to your 5.2. If you want better quality than you have I think you need to go for a digi SLR, they have better sensors and better lenses Prints from the Canon 10D blow up to 30" X 20" and are absolutely brilliant, better than 35mm
