Does nobody realise that the majority of money that has been withdrawn from NR has been deposited with NS&I?
This is quite bizarre as any monies deposited with NS&I goes straight to HM Treasury which in turn is helping out Northern Rock!!!

Ah but from the investors point of view, the perceived risk (of loss of capital) has shifted. Governments don't go bust very often.
