hi i am thinking about working for myself,with loads of people liking diy what i thought about was doing all the prep work ie stripping walls prepping woodwork ready for people to do thier own papering and painting just wondered what anybody thinks is it any good or a no go thanks

Sounds a very good idea to me.

You'd probably need 3rd party insurance etc. that could be an issue unless you've a qualification

You might even find a some of smaller painter and decorators interested in subcontracting that part of the job out to you if they have a lot of work on and they think you're good enough

thanks for reply i have got my city and guilds for painting decorating,although i have not done it for a long time now,ive had two slipped discs, and cant realy do with the papering part of it,thank you for your opinion
