Help! I need a list of stereotypes..?(social stereotypes would be better) Eg, housewife, chav etc. Any ideas? Cheeers

a housewife is not s stereotype but a stepford wife is;
crackheads and bagheads are stereotype drug users where I live, replacing the more traditional 'junkie'.
wags are a stereotype of the young female dedicated follower of fashion with a store card and shopping addiction.

Gay people are all interested in fashion (which will help them for their future career as a fashion designer), love Kylie Minogue and Madonna, all participate in anal sex - particularly if it's a random stranger in a field or in an alleyway, all frequent gay bars and isolate themselves from straight people, all wear excessively tight clothing at the expense of comfort, all wear glitter when they go out on some part of their body, all love Will & Grace and certainly none of them believe in god because religion hates them.

Not one thing above applies to all gay people, in fact, 90% of them I would imagine doesn't even apply to the majority. I bet you've all thought at least one of them though.

Scottish people all wear kilts, eat porridge for breakfast and haggis for dinner, can recite Rabbie Burns poems off the top of their heads, all love whisky and all love to hear the bagpipes.

A chav wears a burberry baseball cap, lots of 'bling' jewllery and a shell suit.

A Welshman is a coal miner who loves singing and is a rugby fanatic.

Yorkshire men are all tightfisted, wear flat caps, and braces, and their hobbies include racing pigeons, whippet racing and lamping rabbits. They frequenttly say "Eeh bah gum" and the only song they know is On Ilkley Moor Bahtat.
