Rover 620i Just Stopped

Can anyone help me please, my car just stopped, I paid a mechanic who said the Ignition Coil was faulty, so I replaced it car didn't start. Checked the dizzy again and noticed a crack in the Rotor arm so replaced that but car still not starting. Was told by another mechanic that I needed to change the complete dizzy, so I changed that and lo and behold the car still wont start. Has anyone any ideas about the fault I have. I haven't any money for a garage as I've spent quite a bit now on parts and rip-off mechanics. I'm registered disabled and find it difficult getting about, so am in desperate need of my car and any help would be greatly appreciated to get me behind the wheel again..

have you checked that there is a spark at the plugs?
also Not Being Sarky is your fuel guage working have you got adequate fuel in the tank?

Thanx tommy.h, had already been down that road. Finally got her started on Sunday spent the whole day stripping the dizzy, gave it a good clean then rebuilt it, and she started and is now going in for her M.O.T. to-morrow, so hopefully she'll pass..
