Why does the Lloyds Pharmacy advert for the half price TENS machine say it's unsuitable for expectant mothers? I thought they brought pain relief for women in labour?
The TENS machines used during labour are different to the others,I think they have a different type of current. I know when looking to buy one they are usually in seperate categories.
they are mild electrical pulses that are sent into muscles in the back. This causes your body to release endorphins and thus counteracts the pain of contractions.
They are only recommended during labour and not at all before and do not effect the baby in any way, unlike a good shot of drugs!
