after day surgery problems

Hi had day surgery to remove fibroid from womb and drain an ovarian cyst, since the op 4 weeks ago i am continously light headed and house bound because of it. I have been to my gp several times who is now referring me to a hospital gp and arranging a head scan. Has anyone else had problems after surgery???????

Hi lynneylou , it's a shame you feel so rotten 4 weeks on .
I hope you get sorted as to the cause. It wasn't a small op even though it was day surgery though and I wonder if you have had bloods taken to see if you are perhaps anaemic .

Operations (even day surgery ones) can take six weeks and sometimes longer to recover from.

I suspect your GP is just playing it safe.

Make sure your fluid intake is good, that you're eating healthily and not doing too much. (Tidying a few bits is not considered relaxing).
