Someone mentioned this and I wanted to know if it's true or were they just being sarcastic....Ladies, while pushing and try to deliver a baby, have you ever heard of anyone "pooping" also?

Some time ago someone posted a question: "The truth about giving birth" - http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Search/Question46074-3.asp?Pa ge=2&SearchText=giving%20birth and a number of the replies appended dealt with this particular aspect of giving birth.
I have two little girls and I am currently seven months pregnant with my third child. Funnily enough , this was a question which I had raised with my hubby just a few days ago (due to the fact that I had terrible constipation and had commented that I felt as if I was giving birth ..... we won't go into that though ! )and I had also heard that some women do actually have a little accident whilst giving birth. I remembered being asked on both occasions when I gave birth to my daughters , when I had last had a bowel movement. Luckily this has never happened to me as I have always been empty before giving birth but I dare say it is very common. After all , when the baby is travelling down the birth canal they press heavily against the back passage and that excessive pressure is bound to cause unpleasant side effects ! As MrsCheeks quite rightly said though , when you are giving birth you do leave your dignity at the door and pick it up again on the way out so I suppose the best thing to do would just be to laugh it off if it happened.
