It is fairly obvious to anybody with seven brain cells that all professional atheletically powered sports require a degree of fitness.
It is therefore equally obvious that said sportsmen will have a fit and healthy body. Even the notable media stereotyped "fatties" like Jan Molby, Sir Ian Botham and Gazza still had a fairly good physique compared to the vast majority of normal people.
Why, therefore, do sportmen, inparticularly footballers and 100 meters sprinters take their sports top off at the nearest available opportunity.
I refer to players being substituted or after the whistle has blown. It's straight off with the shirt so the Sky Sports can see their pecs and latts. But the most annoying is the sprinters who do not even break sweat. As soon as they are over the finishing line it's off with the lycra top. Why??
Can they not wait for the twenty second walk to the changing rooms?
The world can see they already have a perfect body. I think this is a recent phenomena. I can not recall Allan Wells, Roger Black or the supreme Daley Thompson doing this. And I think it is safe to say that Daley Thompson had one of the fittest looking bodies ever, and I never even saw his naked torso.
Does this peac0ck display of male bravado annoy you as well? In my youth it is fair to say I had a fairly healthy looking body, but apart from the beach NEVER took my shirt off in public.
Tim Henmans shirt off is something I never ever wish to see, on the football pitch it doesnt annoy me and infact after seeing that French Rugby team calender, I think they should play topless for the whole match.
