How is the telescope able to collect the images of the far away galaxies i.e the reflected light from them, when there is plenty of sun's natural light available in its path.

The sun's natural light is moving away from the earth's night side, (presumably when you will be observing galaxies). Since there is virtually no matter in space the light continues in its direction of motion and cant be observed by the telescope.
