i have what appears to be long hair coming out of exhaust pipe ,loads comes out if i pull it.can anyone give me a reason why.thanks

Your rear silencer box is disintegrating

It is the type that has a perforated pipe going through the centre of it, this is surrounded by a sort of fibre sound proofing material, when the centre pipe gets rusty it starts to break up.

The long hair is the soundproofer coming out, it can block the pipe so causing the engine to stop.

you haven't accidentely got a hippy sucked in through your engine have you? easy to check look for a pair of sandels stuck in the air filter!!
