I am using AVG free edition. When I start up, the AVG icon does not appear on the icon line at the bottom of the screen. When I click on the icon on the desktop, it appears. Does it run automatically when I start up? How can I be sure it is running if the icon does not appear? If not, what do I need to do to start it up automatically?

ps AVG wont answer any questions from free users!

Thanks. The list shows avgcc ticked. I assume this means it runs automatically even though its not shown in the icon tray.
Take out the program, and reload the free edition again and see what happens.I,ve had no problems so-far.
