cleaning glass shower doors
10 Answers
We live in a HARD water area and are having a problem removing all the scale from our shower doors. On finishing showering ,the doors are squeegied and wiped down with a dry old towel. On first inspection the doors look clean on looking closer however you can see the glass is still smeary. We have tried white vinegar, windolene, CIF, in a small area but no impression on this stobborn scale.
Can anyone recommend a way that will work 100%.
Thank you in advance for any replies.

Even my sister when visiting recently asked how I keep the glass so clean.
you can get Mr Muscles shower shine that you use after every shower.
We use it and our water if left to dry on the surface turnes pink! So we bleached it off to get it all off first and then use Shower Shien after every shower, it does stop it happening as often, but occasionally we have to give a good clean!

Some of these products people suggest dont always get it all off i know ive tried all of them, what i have resorted to is the wire spongy things, it scrubs off all the water marks THEN i use mr muscel and this seems to do the trick and it does not scratch the glass.
Oh and i live in a HARD water area too.

Although it is an expensive solution and not worth doing for this reason alone, a water softener does stop this. And contrary and what someone above suggests, a water filter will not do as a substitute - it doesn't take the calcium out.
We have massive glass shower and have had no problems since I installed the softener. Now we can leave all the drips in place without wiping off each time of use.
