I am desperately trying to trace this poem on behalf of my work colleague.  She has recently suffered a tragic bereavement and remembers this poem and would like to read it at the funeral.

All I know is that it is in a book called Collected Poems 1958.

Thanking you in advance.   Julie

Michael Roberts, 'Poems and Prose', issued by Carcanet Press, I don't know if this is the one you want, but its out of print at the moment, I think your best chance is a 'Book Search', put that into a search engine, quite a few will come up, and whichever one you choose, it'll be a bit pricey, but you'll get what your after.

Thanks Chessman - we have googled this one for ages!
Also in an anthology called This Day and Age - out of print but you may get it through abebooks or amazon

Already Said my Host is One of Roberts..

A fine poem, among my favourites. It is available along with four others of hi in Anthology 'This Day and Age'. This is available second hand via Amazon or new via schools and colleges (it is used in many English courses abroad) I think it was published by Longman.

Hope this helps too...and not too late. I have a copy and I can scan it to send it you like (I dont break copyright but I am sure Mr Roberts would not mind. He only made it to 46).
