sky+ fan very loud

hi, just had sky+ installed and the fan is really loud even when on standby, is there anyway this can be turned down,
i have it in my bedroom so it could get quite annoying when i'm trying to sleep.

the fan has only ever come on mine once i just unplugged it and plugged it back in it was fine, are you sure its not updating the software? it seems to do this in the middle of the night which can be annoying

I've never heard the fan on mine and didn't know there was one. I've had sky + for almost 2 years but keep in my living room. The fan on my computer does the same thing and I have my computer in bedroom so have to switch it off at night or II can't sleep

Its not the fan its the hard disc recording programs for "anytime tv" to stop it just turn anytime tv off in SERVICES NO. 6. unless u watch anytime tv (i dont think its worth having on)

i just turned it off at the socket then turned it back on and it was gone.

dont know what it did and i dont know why i didnt just try that at first!
