Unexpected faint.

Help!

I am a final year student nurse who is used to hands on blood and gore and who is not squeamish in the least. Today, I was assisting in a procedure being carried out by a doctor which was quite invasive but not as bad as some other things I've seen.

Quite unexpectedly, I felt faint and had to leave the room. The procedure had barely started and I'm really confused as to why this happened as it wasn't even gory.

Can anyone help me understand this? I'm worried that its going to happen again.

Its quite a common occurence by all accounts, i would'nt worry to much about it at this present time

When my mum had been a nurse for 10 years she had to watch an invasive procedure. It involved creating a new vagina for someone who had been mistakingly having sex through their urethra. That made her faint nd I dont believe she ever has before or since.

Thanks everyone. The room WAS hot and it was at the end of a very busy 12 hour shift so maybe it was just a combination of things.

But as for having sex through your urethra......uuurgh!
