My partner has been told today that he is lookinmg at a minimum sentence of 6 years if he doesn't get an ipp. I think that this is a bit harsh especially as this was proven too be 1 blow to the head in the medical report. Does anyone else think that this is a bit harsh or is it just me? Please answer a.s.a.p as he is being sentenced on friday!!!
you have posted 3 questions about your partners court case,it now seems he has been found guilty of quite a serious assault by a jury and yet you still think hes innocent, for gods sake accept it,he has committed a serious crime and is going to prison,it might not be very nice for you,but do you think he should get off with community service,he must have previous convictions by the sound of it as well, people like him need to be punished.
Thanks for your answer even though it is quite clear from a lot of your previous answers that you have no idea what you are talking about.
I DO NOT expect my partner to get off with community service all i am saying is that 6 years seems a bit harsh, people get less for manslaughter.
Well even if i am visiting him for years to come what business is it of yours. You don't even know my partner, yes what he did by going to the door was wrong. All i have done is asked for advice because that is what this website is supposed to be, however except for a minority it is full of idiots who just get a kick out of being a complete moron!!!!!!!
has been keeping up with all your entries understand he will be sentenced today hope it goes the best it can for you please let us know how he gets on, know what you are going through.
2 years. The judge took into account that the 'injured party' had a knife and what my partner did was under complete provocation. He will be home in 4 months hopefully if he gets a tag if not he'll be home in 6 months which isn't too bad.
