Every 24 hours, at precisely 1am GMT, crystal guides and all of their subsiduaries go through a process generated by the dedicated software, this process by it's very nature is top secret, but i can reveal that anyone that registered with any of the crystal gude sites in the 14 day period prior to a specific 1am threshhold, will automatically, on the pressing of a particular green button, metomorph into a fully functional member of the site.

dotty - a slight error in your explanation; the "process" occurs at 1am BST (i.e. 12 GMT) which will become apparent when the clocks go back and the freeze reverts to its usual midnight timeslot.

I think it is because America comes on line in millions so the worlds servers need to reboot. A bit like the national grid have to prepare when adverts on on during Corrie or half time in a big football match.
