Do you remember the nuclear accident at Chernobyle in 1986? A scientist suspects that the food in a nearby ecosystem may have been contaminated with radioactive nitrogen over a period of months. Which substances in plants and animals could be examined for radioactivity to test his hypothesis?

Well it is not carbohydrate (CHO) or fats (also CHO) so nitrogen will be found in any structure containing amino acids. I leave you with a little homework still to do in discovering where these will be.

Wow, they must have found some really old past exam papers! They can't expect a 15(?) year old to remember Chernobyl, surely?
