Stop using Internet Explorer and use Firefox instead.

Far better.

I'll try that.......thanks ! I forgot to say, that it is more of a problem on Bebo. Other sites are't too bad but Bebo is really bad.
Question Author
Oh no, I've installed it but the problem is still there :-(
If the problem occurrs with 2 different browsers, it is likely to be a bad scripting problem on the site and nothing to do with your browsers.

You could try posting a link here to the parts that aren't working to see if others experience the same problem
I notice that bebo.com uses Javascript. Have you downloaded Java from www.java.com?
Question Author
Just downloaded Java as it wasn't up to date..........but problem still there !! It comes up with the words Syntax error, whatever that is !!
Java is not JavaScript!

And Gromit is right, it's just some script error with Bebo. Nothing you can do. However, the error is often not something that removes functionality, just an annoyance.

I suppose I'll just have to tolerate it then. Never mind. Thanks everyone !
Not sure what version of IE you are using but go to Tools - Internet Options - Advanced and put a tick in the box that says "disable script debugging" and make sure the disable a notification about every script error is unchecked - Then click OK. If you can't find this in your version of IE then just key in "Disable script debugging for IE" followed by your version of IE
Should have said If you can't find this in your version of IE then just key in "Disable script debugging for IE" followed by your version of IE into a google search

Regards
