Itchy skin

I bought a jacket at a local thrift store and washed it right after I got home. I tried it on for about 30 seconds and hung it up in my closet. About an hour later I began itching all over my body, especially the scalp, arms and legs. I took a shower and I am still itching. Could the jacket have something to do with this?

Are you allergic to your wash powder perhaps? If not it could be an allergy to the something in the material. Are you wearing anything under the jacket like a vest top or t-shirt?

I had a t-shirt on when I tried the jacket on. I have been using a new dryer sheet and new bar soap for about a month now, would it take this long to have a reaction? I do not have any bumps or signs of irritation on my skin, just an all over itching sensation...weird, huh?

Try washing it again & putting some pure/ sensitive skin fabric condioner in the rinse. I have do this with every wash.
