Bird of Paradise Plant

I bought this plant about 5 years ago and it was about a foot high then.It has grown much larger and has beautiful leaves but never had a flower. I have always kept it indoors in good light but not direct sunlight .Any ideas why it hasn't flowered. Thanks

They do like full sun if you can provide it, in the summer months they may benifit from being put outside in a sunny sheltered spot.
Feed once a fortnight in spring and summer with Phostrogen.
They do not like to be over-watered and the compost should be allowed to dry right out before watering again..
Dont pot it on too soon, they like the roots to be cramped and almost bursting out of the pot before you repot.

Thanks for your reply. It is still in the same pot I put it in when I had it so ok there but will put it in sunlight more and get phostrogen and hope for a flower next year and cut down on the watering as you say thanks again.
