what age do chidren start school is it four or five i have alittle girl who will be four next august 24th not sure when i should put here name down.

children start reception (full time school) in the september following their 4th birthday. Therefore she should be starting next september.
You should put her name down ASAP to ensure a place.
Also she should be entitled to a nursery place if your local primary has one attatched now should they have a place and you want her to go.

My son's birthday is Aug 23rd and he started school when he had just turned 4,so your daughter will start next September as hol5 said.Schools are taking applications for places for next year right now so get it done ASAP as you may miss out on your chosen school.
