Would you search for relatives you have lost???
2 Answers
I have had a trouble past and lost contact with lots of relatives, I only found my Dad about 4 years ago after 20 years and i found my brother when i was 18.
I never knew my Dad's side of the family and only had one grandparent, which has never really bothered me.
Recently i have been looking on facebook and as my maiden name is very uncommon i thought id type in my Dads first three children, who would be my half sibling, i found one of them well COULD be one of them and have sent her a message. Only reason i done this as i am curious and would just like to talk to her even if its just over the net.
I dont know if now it was a good thing to do, it may bring up past memories that she or I dont want.
What would you do? or has anyone else done this and been successful? what are your stories?
p.s i found my dad 4 years ago but dont see him often now, and after finding my brother at 18 i now haven't seen him for 5 years, so i never know now if i should have bothered finding them?
