PC world ad for Compaq laptop

Has anyone seen this ad? Laptop costs �349 and they also advertise that they will transfer all your music and photos from your old one to this new one for �29.99.

Is it me or is that daylight robbery?!

Transferring your old stuff for �30 seems a little expensive. All they will do I imagine, is plug both machines in and make a peer-to-peer network then copy everything from one machine to another.

They don't say if they will reinstall programs. If they do that then it may be worth paying them but if they just transfer data, you could do it yourself or get a mate who knows a little about IT to do it.

just what i was thinking when i saw the ad, but then i remembered how there are so many people wouldnt even bother trying to do a easy job like that and will pay �29.99. and pc world knows that. easy money for them. it cost �14.99 to replace ram, no wonder they are a big company,
