Electoral roll

Is it possible to view the electoral rolls at local town halls? I know I can do it for a fee online, but dont know which sites to trust. If anyone knows of a reputable site would be grateful for the info. Thank you

Just go to your local council office which holds the electoral rolls , costs nothing .
