Tubal Ligation Side Effects

I just had my 3rd and last child 2 months ago and had a tubal ligation immediately following the C-section. I had a very painful and heavy menstrual cycle 6 weeks later. It has been 5 weeks and I have not had another cycle yet. Before I became pregnant, my cycle was very regular - every 28 days to the date. I've read that Tubals don't have anything to do with menstrual cycles. Has anyone else had menstrual issues after having their tubes tied?

I think it is probably more to do with the very recent birth of your last child than with the ligation. Also the C-section may disrupt the menstrual cycle.
