I am sole benficiary in my later mother's will with probate granted. The will has been challenged by a brother. I've discovered this week that the lawyer working for me has been struck off by his profession for misappropriately clients' funds. I do not feel I've received advice though I've paid �15,000 to this lawyer. I am no nearer knowing where I stand, what to expect legally, nor nearer to an end to the matter. All that's been achieved is some very good witness statements proving my brother wrong. In the absence of knowing what happens next, I don't feel I've received value for money. �15,000 for 6 witness statements? What should I do about it? Please someone advise me.

However, if it were me, I�d do two things immediately: I�d contact the Law Society and I�d contact the Serious Fraud Office (as the amount involved is over �5000. It sounds as if you �may possibly� have a case where the stricken-off solicitor has obtained funds by deception. I do wish you luck. Here�s the law society link:
