Does anyone know what that beautiful incidental piano music is? on the Restaurant its usually when Raymond is making his mind up, on who's restaurant to close.

I'm aching to play it!

For all those interested in the piano music used in the BBC�s �The Restaurant�, I�d like to say that it�s not �Le Onde� by Ludovico Einaudi as suggested, although that is an excellent piece of music. I�m a big fan of Einaudi and I did initially think it could be his work due to the minimalist style.

I�ve just listened to an excerpt from �Comptine d�un autre �t� - L�apr�s-midi� by Yann Tiersen from the �Am�lie� soundtrack, as suggested by someone else, and that sounds spot on to me. I�m just buying it from iTunes now but I�m 99% sure that it�s the right piece.

no doubt that it is a beautiful piece of music. but i fear that it is not the one!

however i did listen to it on youtube so i am not sure if it is the full version!

Either way, what a delightful piece, quite addictive!

Not sure if this will help,but it was played when raymond blanc was makng his decision on who's restaurant to close on wed 3rd oct.

I had a mooch through the other stuff Yann Tiersen has done on youtube and i found "la valse d' amelie" I think this is the one.
