For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Well at least we can all have a laugh and enjoy the camaraderie on here . I can't see the point in sniping .There are some that do and I am not afraid to stand up for myself .To the point of telling them their fortune .I can get out of my pram on occasion !
I like AB and I love this section.I have made some good friends on here and that is what life is all about .
Some of us are perhaps housebound ..not in the best of health ...on our own.Who knows what peoples individual circumstances are....for some this may be their only point of contact ....there but for there Grace of God go you or I.

On a slightly different note bibster, you were one of the few that "dared" ask questions on this quiz. Most people have been put off asking for fear of abuse. I have seen this happen many times eg the rainbow quiz. We ended up lurking in an old post to avoid the abuse. Some resorted to private emailing each other, which shouldn't have to happen.
This is a public site and if anyone wishes to ask/ answer questions then that is their right. If anyone has a problem with that, then don't answer.
Keep posting bibster!

For my part, this section is THE most fun I have most days. I enjoy trying to answer questions (despite having a computer run by elastic bands!), & it's fun to see who else is around doing the same.
I suspect that some who moan are worried that their chance at the prize is diminished by the collective effort.
The point of sending off for a charity quiz should be to raise money for that cause, while standing a chance of winning - not in the HOPE of doing so. If people can have fun at the same time, so much the better, and yah-boo-sucks to all dogs-in-the-manger!!
Sorry...

Bibster, i was an angry person when people asked for answers after 1 week on a quiz, but after some abuse back, & hurting someone's feeling , i decided to give & ask
when i felt that enough time had lapsed & had looked every where possible, & i also asked where an answer was found, nil desporandum , i say.

Bibster,it's just like everyone else has said,if you're stuck for an answer, then post the question, and never mind what anyone else thinks. I ask a fair number of questions, and occasionally actually answer some, which is the purpose of the site, despite a few individuals(you know who you are!) thinking they own it. So keep posting and good luck and best wishes for your charity work and quizzes. It's possible that you've answered some of my questions in the past,so if you have, may I say a big thank you.
I can only echo the opinions of everyone who has posted before me - I love the contact with people all over the world, and their willingness to fill in the blanks in my general knowledge [which run to acres !!] and if I can ever help out, it gives me such a thrill - so bibster, let it just roll over you, there are far more of 'us' than there are of 'them' and I don't envy them their lives one little bit [ and I do love to be around when s*2 gets out of her pram, that's something to see !! ] S
I think some people are missing the point completely. Most of the quizzes are for CHARITY so it's in the organisers best interests that as many entries as possible are received because the vast majority of entrants will send an additional donation to the charity. My personal reason for entering quizzes, especially ones like the Rainbow, is for the joy of pitting my knowledge against their clues. If I win a prize that's a bonus but NOT my reason for entering.
