Hi,
just need your opinions my 1st baby was normal delivery my 2nd baby was emergency c-section due to placenta previa my 3rd baby was elective c-section as i didnt know any better and i thought i had to have it im now pregnant with my 4th baby but i wanted to try labour if there are no complications along the way but every midwife and consultant i come across say no one midwife told i was being selfish needless to say i dont have her anymore .
Has anyone else done this and managed a normal birth?

It seems as if sometimes the consultants go for the easiest option.
Keep trying and good luck. Its not impossible

I'm in a similar dilemma myself as I had and emergency C-Section on my first and am 7 weeks pregnant now! I have been told I can try but they will hold no guarentees.
I am stressing but think that maybe if I elect for a C-Sec then I woulnd't have to worry about it, but I would love to give birth Vaginally!
I havn't heard the same story form one single Midwife yet though! confusing!

I just recently had my 3rd C-section 2 months ago. I was going to opt for VBAC but the doctors told me that I couldn't for several reasons - the main reason being that my uterus was too weak after having been cut twice before and it wouldn't be strong enough for a VBAC. They said the more your uterus has been cut the weaker it becomes.
I've had a rotten obstetric history with 1 ectopic, 1 stillbirth (natural birth), 2 missed abortions and 3 live births, all of which were elective caesarians( 2 placenta praevia and one transverse breech).
I understand about you wanting to try labour but at the end of the day the wellbeing of yourself and the baby MUST be your priority. The obstetrician and midwives do know what they are talking about so I would suggest you listen to them. Your uterus will have been weakened by your 2 caesarians. You may be allowed what's called a 'trial labour' to see how things progress but please don't be stubborn about insisting on a vaginal birth.
If you insisted on a vaginal birth and god forbid, anything went wrong, could you forgive yourself? I'm sorry if I am sounding harsh but I've been there. Does it really matter how your baby arrives as long as he/she is healthy?
Good luck. xx
