I wonder if the answer to the second question is to do with the fact there was a Chebacco boat called a "pink stern", but can't think of a six letter word to fit ..

Lot of different names for pink needle here, but again not the ones to fit your letters.

Thanks slaney for your help. I know it is to do with the width of a pink stern and I think the answer must be narrow. xx
