snails in fishtanks
5 Answers
Are they harmless to the fish? Obviously they aren't going to turn psycho and attack them, what i mean is do they carry any diseases or parasites which could be passed on to the fish and prove fatal? Thaks in advance :o)

Once the gravel was well rinsed the tank was put back to normal, using the saved water and topping it up.
From then on all the weed I added was soaked in salt water and rinsed before going into the tank!! (Salt has an amazingly destructive effect on snails! Won't describe what happens but it's UGH!!)
Good Luck!!
go to this link it will tell you why you can't put any other of your pets in the tank.
