heartburn
6 Answers
I keep getting indigestion and heartburn throughout the day. I haven't altered my eating patterns so I can't figure out why.
My sister reckons it's just my age (43) ,but can it be a symptom of something else?

You could be encountering degrees of gastroenteritis, or if you have a problem with reflux- the experience of bile coming back into your throat, especially when you lie down, you could be having challenges with your duodenum. There are also additional matters at hand which could have to do with your heart. Through all of these there are remedies, starting with Gaviscon, and increasing to prescription items such as renetidine or omeprozole. As a temporary measure, try using some Pepcid Tablets or Gaviscon. But only whilst youre waiting to see your GP.

Hi miffy :)
I ignored mine until it was a little late lol.... I've now got oesophageal ulcers....
I'm not overweight, I don't smoke and I don't drink to excess. I do love my wine, but 2 glasses and that's me lot :)
The doc will probably give you ranitidine, which is the same as Zantac but twice the strength. I take PPIs which are a little stronger...
Docs for you hon :D xxx
