Morning All,

I've been on Dianette for about a year now, I was put on it to help with both period pains and bad spots on my back. Its worked wonders for the spots but my period pains are just as bad as they always were, its just a different kind of pain.

Does anyone know of an alternative pill that will keep both under control?

To be honest you should be coming off dianette by now anyway. Most combined contraceptives can offer you some relief but dianette contains an anti androgen (male hormones) that are responsible for vausing your spots. A tried and tested supplement you can take i agnus castus, its boosts your progesterone levels and is proven to help with acne. So if your spots are a hormal problem then this might just help you out.

i used to have the marina coil that stops your period & lasts for 5 yrs 99.9% safe but only like to give it people who have had children and have a steady relationship (more open to infection). I had this but havent had children and it was VERY painfull to put in but worth it for five years, I have now gone to the implant in your arm one tiny matchstick size implant under your skin can feel but not see last for 3yrs fertile as soon as it comes out and also no periods for most and doesnt hurt to put in at all, i have had no period pains or spots with this.

I was on Dianette for about 2 years due to awful spots on my face.
it was amazing and cleared them up within a week.
I don't think there is another Pill out there which is as good for spot control. I have recently been switched to Yasmin, as Dianette is too strong to stay on for long periods of time, and the spots have started creeping back.
Damn things!
I would recommend you stick with Dianette, get a nice hot water bottle, some chocolate and a couple of Ibuprofen.
