No nutrition in Rabbit!!

Someone once told me that there is little/no nutritional value in rabbit meat. In fact if we lived on it soley we would eventually die.
Is this true?

They were certainly wrong about the nutritional value.Rabbit meat is a mild all white alternative to chicken that is fine grained and has a unique delicate flavour. It is a versatile food that is high in protein and low in fat, cholesterol, and calories. It's like any single food though, it wouldn't do you a lot of good just eating that and nothing else, you need a balanced diet. After having a pet rabbit for 7 years I wouldn't even consider it - poor bunny ;-)
If you live one any single foodstuff you will eventually die of malnutrition of some sort - be that food rabbit, chicken, steak, carrots turnips or anything.
Rabbit is a healthy and cheap alternative to "supermarket meat" but is is not for the squeamish.
I shoot rabbits on my land to control the numbers (as I am obliged to do by law) - and we therefore eat a substantial amount of rabbit (as does our dog) and - as yet - have not died!
