if one of your children was gay? i myself would not have any problem whatsoever, in this day & age i don't see why anyone would unless they were very religious i suppose.
i ask this question after reading a question on 'relationship's & dating' and being truly shocked by the attitude of the poster.
i also have just watched 'This morning' where a woman has been in tears on the phone saying that she feels as though she has been punished because her son is gay.
I can understand that it may come as a shock, but to feel as though you are being punished, i think is wrong.
what are your thoughts on this?

I would have absolutely no problem.

In fact, in some ways, if she was gay it may make life a little easier on me! (She's a teen, and there's always the fear of unplanned pregnancy).

Either way, I'd still love her to bits and when the day comes for her to settle down her partner would be welcomed as a daughter too.

My feelings are exactly the same as tiny.e.a's.

I love my child unconditionally and will accept whatever her future throws my way. I will be there for her no matter what.

I just simply wouldnt care -as long as they were happy.It wouldnt be an issue whatsoever.

Now -if any of my children told me they had been diagnosed with a serious perhaps life threatening illness -then I would be devastated.

In an all-encompassing world you should not exclude people from your big hugs just because they have a different view. You should embrace them, regardless of their opinion and chosen lifestyle. I am sure even Dave G and Doc need a hug every now and again.

After all, I don't care what they do behind their own closed doors, as long as they don't do it where children might see, or flaunt it, or ram it down our throats..............:o) lol
