I had assumes it was Uk acts hence the !"UK Music Hall of Fame" - but really, Missy Elliott??? Is it only one that wins? If so, probably Oasis - ebven though they're rubbish? What happened to the Manics? Don't rate them that much but they had a couple of good tunes and a bit of "presence" that was noticeably absent in the 90s. And I've never heard Blur's guitarist described as one of the best guitarists in the world before!
Radiohead - yawn!
Graham Coxon was and is a fantastic guitarist...just cos he doesn't go off on interminable wonky (substitute vowel) solos on his knees whilst sticking his tongue out. I didn't watch the programme but I agree that the Manics should have got a nod. I would love to see Radiohead win the 90s but of course Oasis will walk it. fair enough, i s'pose...for an all-too-brief moment they WERE an astounding rock n roll band
I'd rather listen to Acqua and Steps than a load of proggy public school bedwetters like Radiohead!
I'm not saying the Blur bloke wasn't a great guitarist - i wouldn't know - just that I'd never heard him described as such, that's all. In my day, a great guitarist was one who performed 20 minute solos with a look of complete agony on their face!
mich m - out of the lot on offer, I'd go for the Spice Girls as well.
