What is the difference with 50 and 60Hz and how do I know which my tv is?

That number is how many times per second your screen refreshes the image ie 50 or 60.If you set your wii to 60 and your tv doesnt display or has trouble displaying it then you know your tv isnt capable of handling it.
60 Hz will give a brighter more vibrant picture.
If your tv either doesn't have an image, the image is completely grey or the imgae turns grey every couple of seconds then you own a 50Hz TV.

It will usually say on the back of your TV how many Hertz it will support. Most modern TV's will support 60Hz but not all (as I have found out).
