Has anyone heard of the following, British Gardeners Association, or where I might be able to find out about the association. I have tried numerous books and the internet but with no success. The only information I have, is that the association was established in 1904.

It may have changed it's name or been amalgamated with another gardening assocation if there is no record of it. One thing puzzles me though!! Why this question is coming from 'HeadGardener'? Sorry headgardener, just struck me as amusing!!! Am I forgiven??
There are several references to British Gardeners Association in the Historical Directory of Trade Unions. Unfortunately the history is unclear, It seems formed in 1904. Changed name to National Union of Horticultural Workers and then merged. Alternatively became National Agricultural Workers Union and merged with Eastern Counties Agricultural Labourers and Smallholders Union which became National Agricultural Labourers and Rural Workers Union in 1912 and in 1920 National Union of Agricultural Workers. 1981 became part of TGWU which is now part of UNITE! There is also a reference to some lord being president of the British Gardeners Association in about 1912. You will find this on Google
