How to wash sheepskin.

Hello. I've got a sheepskin and cotton numnah (which is a saddlepad for a horse) and I wondered if I could use a traditional washing solution like Fairy to wash it with? I've never washed it before but it was extremely expensive and I don't want to ruin the sheepskin part. Am I going to have to have it drycleaned?

Have a look here. It's not cheap, but is made for the job. Click on 'Care Instructions' for more info. (As an aside, always keep in mind that biological detergent residues can cause bad reactions with horses).
