Present for a new mum
11 Answers
My friends having a baby and I wanted to get her something nice for her once she's had him. However she has very sensitive skin so I can't go for the usual nice bubble bath/aromatherapy stuff etc. Any ideas as to what a new mum might appreciate? Thanks :)

Although my two girls are now nearly 5 and 8, fortunately I had, and still have due to ill health, lots of help from my husband and family.
(I'm not suggesting your friend hasn't the same BTW)
Anything, such as help with household chores, weekly shop, cooking a meal or looking after the baby so I could catch up on some much needed sleep was very appreciated!
Perhaps you could make vouchers to give to her. You could offer to do any of the above things or similar.
It may not sound exciting but might be something she would like but hesitant to ask for...!

Is this their first? Well done you for focusing on her needs as well as the baby's.
I've always given picture frames. Tiffany & Co have some silver frames that are reflective of new birth and young children with prices ranging from 30-60. It's probably a cheesy gift...but I'm a guy....what can I say. In my defence- our home is filled with photos of the children and my favourites are the ones that are on a table in the sitting room. it's just a thought :-)
I also like coggles and ethran's ideas about taking her out or doing chores...that is always appreciated.
As food for thought:
