Has anyone ever *closed* their question ?

This little grey box (my colour scheme of course, I have no idea what colours you lot have) only appears to those who have placed a Question.....

I am too scared to click on this.....

I know what you mean weeal. Good old AB when you login says Welcome Back, but I have been on sites where you login and get a huge flashing SOD OFF and wet farts through the speakers.

answers appear, you just don;t get notification emails telling you that you have an anawer. sometimes ignorance is bliss and i have used it often.

hehe, I've just worked it all out.... I simply don't get an email from AB telling me I have a new reply..... in other words, I can go away from AB thinking that my problem has been solved but in reality, more knowledgeable (sp?) users might know the real, true answer and I will forever more be under the illusion that I know the answer..... ok, I'll shut up now lol

I have never used this and often wondered what happens if u do!! Surely its really boring to close your own question? Why would anyone do such a thing?

some folk get over 100 emails pinging into their inbox all nite, thats why its useful

I click it all the time, usually as soon as my question appears, saves getting all those emails they send out

Yup, just means you don't get the e-mails through when you have an answer. Quite handy really as your mailbox doesn't get clogged with the 'Answerbank! You have an Answer!' e-mail.

I always close it after the 1st answer recieved- just because I don't want mail clogging up my inbox.
