as a foster carer...am I a self employed person...or unemployed?!....have had 2 different opions from the powers that be!...info please...in reference to tax credits too please

As far as i know you are not employed, you dont earn any money as its just for the child you look after. i was told that if i become a foster carer it will not affect my benefits.(one of those is tax credits) not sure if you have to tell tax credits what you are doing though, might have to ask them.
