Getting Fired After 27 Years of Services
My dad got fired after 26 years of service in construction. The reason was just beacuse they didnt ned him anymore. So is there a type of relief fund or something similar for my dad? what should he do? should we get a lawyer?

In which case he is entitled to a redundancy payment from the employer. In addition he should have been given appropriate notice in writing before this happened of as at least 12 weeks (maybe more, depending what his contract says), given his long length of service.
