I've just learned that the father of my oldest friend is in the last stages of an asbestos related cancer. I'd like to send him some flowers ( I feel I'd rather send him some beautiful flowers now that will give him pleasure than send some to his funeral that he will never see, if that makes sense).
Trouble is I can't think of an appropriate thing to write on the card, I can't exactly put Get Well Soon because he isn't going to, ideas please?

oh that's sad, sorry to hear it, its very difficult to know what to write
maybe a short note saying what a please it was to have known him?
You could put something like "My life was richer for having known you"
Im sorry Hellyon.
How about just letting him know you are thinking of him?
I agree with psychick, let him know that you are thinking of him and sending your best wishes. It's a horrible time and I'm sure it will make him smile knowing he is in your thoughts.
Yeah I agree with Psychick too, Just a note to say 'thinking of you' sometimes its enough to know that people are thinking of us, when theirs is nothing else to be done. How awful it must be though. Im thinking of you..and your friend xx
What a lovely caring gesture Hellyon. And yes, "thinking of you" would be a nice thing to write.

"Beautiful flowers for a beautiful you"
Or something like that. What would you like to hear if you were there?
