Magazines with 'true life stories'
10 Answers
I have just finished reading my latest mag with it's true life stories. You know 'husband ran off with my 16 year daughter' 'my husband the rapist' those sort of stories.
I have never met anyone I know personally who has featured in these stories, have you?
Some of these stories are really lurid.
Would you want your personal business splashed out in these mags and newspapers?

Unfortunately, my family appeared in one of these magazines in a story submitted by a third party.
We were given no 'right-of-reply' and the person concerned pushed copies of the magazine through every door in in the street, too. It then made it into the local paper and one of the 'dailies' sent a photographer round..............he rang the doorbell but when no answer was forthcoming he sat in his car for hours. Luckily, for us, a local bobby sent him away with a flea in his ear..........
It was a truly horrible and distressing time for us.

These stories are really out there are more common than you may think.
My best friend became friends with a woman who shortly afterwards became traumatised by seeing her husband jailed for long term abuse of their son and daughter. My friend supported her, even inviting her for Xmas, when her children turned against her for not protecting them. Her relationship with the now adult children restored, my friends hardly hears from her.
While she supported this friend, a close friend from school days called her to say her husband had been arrested by the police for sexual offences against youngsters, including their son and daughter. Her children similarly ostracised her until later years.
It is astonishing that someone with a very small circle of friends should experience 2 situations so similar.
What is dissimilar is that husband 1 was jailed for a few years in the UK. The other husband is American and he is still in jail and has been told they have thrown the key away.
